How it all started. Growing up, I was a fan of bath stuff, I liked getting it as gifts but never got Bath & Body Works gifts. I never bothered to set foot in a B&BW store either, until my first year of employment. We do secret Santas every year and I drew an employee I never worked with due to working opposite shifts, thus I never really knew her or what she liked. A fellow manager suggested Bath & Body Works, if nothing more than a gift card because she likes that kinda thing. So in 2010, I set foot for the first time, into B&BW.
I bought a gift card for the upper limit allowed by Secret Santa and didn't look back again until 2012. Whilst venturing around the mall, I never stopped in Bath & Body Works that whole year. Not until Christmas shopping came 'round. I decided, okay, let's take a look! Upon setting foot in, Matt was less than helpful on what scents his mother likes. So we wandered around, sniffing stuff and looked at the PocketBacs. As it was flu season, we thought, okay, let's just pick up some of these and come back later once we have a better idea. I saw there was a peppermint one, called Twisted Peppermint and being the big, huge fan of peppermint I am, that sealed the deal. I bought it and committed to getting four more for the sale. Matt picked out foody scents for himself, and I got Twisted Peppermint, Frosted Snowberry, Vanilla Bean Noel, Winter Cranberry, and Japanese Cherry Blossom on the 5/$5. I didn't know a lot back then about shopping there but I left with my PocketBacs and returned at a later time, when I would know scents better, at least.
They were having a Buy 3, Get 3 sale, gearing up for Christmas, so what we did was two rounds of it and got matching rituals for all the ladies we knew (his mum, my room mate, her daughter and so forth). When it came down to the last two items, we didn't know what to get because the gifts were done. So he got me Twisted Peppermint and Frosted Snowberry mists since I liked the PocketBacs so much. Once Semi Annual Sale Winter 2012 started, I was in there immediately to
pick the bins for Twisted Peppermint stuff and branched out from there.
And that's how it all started.
Pictured Above: a small portion of the in use items from my Twisted Peppermint stash. And some not in use like the home fragrance and the gloss set.
